So…something took over me over the last couple of days. Or maybe I took myself over. LOL. But…I just wanted to let my loyal readers new and old know that I accidentally wrote 20,000 words over the course of two days. I think that comes to about 100 pages? Which, I can’t even wrap my mind around.
Team, this is HUGE for me, specifically. I used to think 500 words a day was a victory.
I began this particular novel with great excitement, but around the 47k mark started kinda getting stalled, and circling, and questioning…
And then, with this latest otherworldly push, what did I do the day before yesterday?
I finished the first draft!
Yeah. My sixth official manuscript is a time travel novel that as of right now calls itself The Heaven Variant, still requires a shit ton of research, and currently sits at 73,000 words long. It was born of a hefty idea that had scared and taunted me for years and has so much personal meaning. Almost too much. Which means this one may have to sit for a little while longer.
Is each page a masterpiece? I wouldn’t say that, hahaha.
But I’ve written worse first drafts before.
