Homework

Dear Magic Mirror subscribers, old and new!

homeworkI just wanted to show you: this is what my next month is going to look like. This is only some of it, mind you. Another pile of books is coming my way from the library shortly. (Two different libraries). But yeah, this is it. One pile you see on this picture is research for my historical novel. The other is a pile of great YA that I will be reading (and re-reading, some of it) very closely. Then there will be essays. And creative writing. Oh yes, the writing. (Not to mention the novel that’s in revision right now with Namelos.)

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind the work. This is the kind of work I live for.

This is just me saying I’ll be busy in the next few weeks. Please hang in there. Bear with me.

I love that you guys are out there, reading this. But writing must come first, always, always. And well, for me, learning too, right now, being an MFA student and all. 🙂

Thanks for being here. Happy Friday!

Love,

Katia

We may hear less from you now but it all adds up to MORE later. Dig deeply, Katia, dear. We’re waiting.

That looks like a lot, but busy is good. I believe during these times we stretch ourselves, learn, and do the most.

Medeia, this isn’t even all of it. Sigh. But — you’re right. It’s all about stretching! I can do it. Thanks for your support.
