Let’s Leap!

Happy Leap Day, everyone!

You know how we always wish we had a little more time? If only there were 27 hours in a day, we’d all complete a ten-book epic series by now. If only we had an eight-day week, oh how rested and relaxed and accomplished we’d all be…

Well, today, we get an extra day! And what if we don’t think of it as just another 24 hours? What if instead we take it for what it is — what every day is, really — a gift from the Universe?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know, trust me, I know. We have jobs, kids, a column to write (in my case), dishes to wash (also in my case, ha-ha!), stuff, responsibilities… But surely today — just today — we can set some time aside for something special, something extra meaningful, something important?

Leap Day — let’s celebrate by making sure it doesn’t go to waste.

Happy Leap Day, everyone! Take a leap. Make this day matter.

Yours,

KR

Wow! Now I feel I should do something really special. So far I accompanied my hubby to oral surgery appointment and back. My house needs cleaning. I have tons of catching up to do.

Is that special enough? I think if I can just get some catch up work done and be nice throughout, that will be a big leap day for me!

Thanks for the encouragement to celebrate!

I am so glad I made you feel that way! 😉 And catching up on your work definitely counts in my book — that’s what extra days are for — just as long as you enjoy it!

Darn it, if only I’d have managed to read this before 9.45 pm 😦

Here is the thing I realized today, Sarah — Leap Day is just another day. Same as tomorrow. Each day is a present from the Universe. Every single one. 🙂

    Happy Leap Day!

After staying up late writing last night, today I’m going to relax on this extra day.

That’s a delicious present in itself, Medeia — a day to relax. Sounds lovely!
