The Magic Mirror

Hi my faithful friends, readers and followers!

I think you should know what my life is right now — it’s a hurricane!!!

There is a chance that maybe maybe maybe I can make this other story work . . . (as soon as my agent says she likes it — if she DOES, I’ll tell you more about it). Meanwhile, all I can say is that I am revising like a maniac 🙂

I can’t take things too slow — or my fears and self-doubt (which are growing by the minute!) will eat my new words before they are born. So . . . I am trying to follow Stephen King’s advice — I am trying to run faster, faster. And still be a human being — wash my hair once in a  while — and give my two wonderful children the kind of childhood they deserve 🙂

(and take my growing puppy to her next obedience class . . . and cook . . . and, like, sleep . . . unfortunately — wish I could do without that last one for a while)

Plus my Stockton College psychology course is no third-grade homework — AND I am about to embark on an amazing journey volunteering at a facility for so-called “troubled” teenagers . . .

Do you guys see where I am going with this?

I can do this . . . yes I can . . . I am doing it . . .

But . . . Some choices must be made.

I have so many ideas for this blog — so many! More lists — more interviews — a heck of a giveaway — and then more, more, more!

But for the time being, I have to scale this thing down. HAVE TO. I’ll still be here. Just less often. Maybe once every few weeks? With posts that are maybe more personal and less informative. Maybe I’ll just keep you updated on the progress of my insane life here for a while? We’ll see.

You understand, don’t you?

Please say you do!

And please wish me luck! I also accept good wishes, karma, crossed fingers, toes, etc.! And energy! Lots of energy! Positive energy! Manic energy! I’m going to need it!!!

Thanks in advance 🙂

  1. You are my hero! You do so much. I’ve barely posted a blog every two weeks with school back in session, teaching, being a mommy, and all those other minor things like eating, sleeping, and exercising. I, too, have so many ideas and never get them on paper!

You can do it – keep on keepin’ on and I look forward to buying your book when it is published, because with determination like yours, I know it will be great!

    • Oh thank you Cresta. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. As for you, I hope you do put those wonderful ideas of yours down on paper sometime.
You have already proven what you can do with good ideas 🙂

  2. I understand. Good luck with everything. I hope things slow down for you…but a little craziness can be good. I’m sure the outcomes will be great.

    • Thanks Medeia! I tend to make things crazy for myself — that’s just my nature. But remember — I am not disappearing! I wouldn’t! This blog is just too much fun 🙂
      Thanks for sticking around!! 🙂

  3. Go for it, Katia! Sounds like things are going great, but your plate certainly is full. Looking forward to a time when you can fit a little carrot cake on that plate, but in the meantime, you’re in my thoughts.

  4. Oh Nan, before we know it, we’ll be raising cups of green tea to toast the completion of my draft — and maybe even yours too? 😉

In the meantime, here is to writing like maniacs — and to friendship! 🙂
